So long, ABS! Die in a fire, cable handbrake!
The hardest part of this was getting everything to stop leaking. Turns out, to get two metal surfaces to seal against each other requires a silly amount of pressure. The helpful advice I found on the internet was basically “tighten them until they strip.”
At least it seems to be working without leaks. The hydraulic handbrake works way better than the cable one ever did, which was not at all. I was insanely nervous at Sno*Drift tech that they would test it, because I had rebuilt all of it and it still didn’t work. Sad!
Not very elegant, I know, but it works well enough. It’s also about 60/40 inverted flare to bubble flare.
Also got new seats courtesy of TRF. About 600 for the pair shipped, new Sabelt FIA seats. Ahsoka approves.
